The Very First Post

I am about to venture into the blogosphere not without fear. Trolls and all that. But from now on I will deliver my thoughts on print as often as I can muster. This blog is mainly about languages and words, as indicated by its name, but then again – words can relate to anything. However, I am just about to start off as a freelance translator and this blog will follow my journey in the translating business.

Rule number one for translators is that one should always translate into ones mother tongue. Only then can linguistic nuances and cultural references be guaranteed. And here I am, a Swede writing in English. Well, I guess I need a challenge… and I want to reach out to more people than the tiny fraction of the worlds population that is made up by Swedish speakers.
